A Judge Declines To Sit – Habeas Corpus Inquiry Put Off
When the habeas corpus petition filed by Ms. Anoma Fonseka at the Appeal Court requesting Gen. Sarath Fonseka to be produced before a civil court was taken for inquiry today one judge of the panel of three judges informed that it was not possible for him to sit for the proceedings on personal reasons. As a result the proceedings were put off until the 25th of this month says our reporter.
Army Commander Jagath Jayasuriya, Head of Military Police E.K.J.K. Wijesiri have been named as respondents in the petition filed by Ms. Anoma Fonseka.
