Epic participates at SMIDEX in Malaysia

Epic Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a MSC status company of Epic Lanka Group participated at the SMIDEX Exhibition held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia from June 1st to June 3rd 2010. Wazni Wazeer, General Manager of Epic Malaysia together with Sachith Fernandopulle, Asst Vice President – Operations and Roshan Chandrasiri, Chief Information Security Officer of the Group attended this event.

SMIDEX is the platform to showcase innovations and Epic software solutions received tremendous attention from various corporate entities that include banking and financial institutions, manufacturing firms and distributing/logistic management companies. Prime Minister Dato Sri Najib Razak opened the SMIDEX 2010.  

Having started the operations in 1998 with 4 members on board Epic Lanka has now become a regional technology leader in their highly specialized domains of Secure Electronic Payments and Information Systems Security. Epic Lanka won an unprecedented number of over 30 national and international accolades during 2008 and 2009. This includes the National Business Excellence Award in ICT for two consecutive years, highest number of awards at the National Best Quality Software Awards  for the past 3 consecutive years, the first ever Gold Award for Sri Lanka for a locally designed and developed commercial software at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards.
