Cinnamon Lakeside CSO remanded

The Colombo Fort Magistrate today remanded the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel till March 31 for allegedly deleting the data from the Cinnamon Lakeside Security Camera sets of January 26 and 27.

General Sarath Fonseka had been confined at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel on January 26 and 27, soon after the Presidential Election, allegedly stating that he had been under house arrest.

On January 27, police arrested three suspects on suspicion for conspiring to topple the government, a move the government alleged was planned by the General.
